We talked on the Elfwood LJ, about how our gallerys get few comments these days, so I decided to right some wrongs by sending a comment over your way! That's cool that you are a part of potrait adoption. I wanted to join that, but haven't had the time, really. I really like your work. The style of many of your pictures reminds me a lot of ElfQuest comics. There were so many pics thou, that I couldn't pic just one to comment on Good job! Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Jenny's Note: Thanks for popping in! Portrait Adoption is a cool place, I find that most of the stuff I do nowdays is for it. < Yeah, I used to be into Elfquest something bad, and I still do the elf ears in that style, but I am hoping that in my newer pictures I have broken away from that style. | 1 May 2007 | Dragonwing | Are you in charge of making the imagemap of thumbnails work, or is Elfwood? It's really off! Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Jenny's Note: Are you saying that when you click on one in here it sends you to a different picture? *checks it out* They seem to be working for me. That has happened to me before on the random choices on the front page, I think it is a bug, and you should contact Elfwood about it, not me. < "
| 10 May 2007 | Maxine "piXel" Cox | mmm Thumbnails and linking to your pic.... it is an HTML thing... all you have to do after each new upload is go to extranet... /tools/utilities.... /rebuild... et voila! it will do so As for the first page... dear all... press 'refresh'... works a treat Or yes indeed the EW site could behave in a way that is more user friendly... yet again it does?? I see no annoying ads, blinking icons, and for the most (well??) constructive, informative helpful comments... maXine and after all that... I will indeed be back for an actual look and see.... so sorry, I got detracted and distracted by the 'usability' of the site - apologies maXine Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Jenny's Note: Thanks for the Info, HTML and I never got along well! < Currently I have trouble submitting comments to pictures, I usually have to hit submit comment several times, or hit check spelling then submit comment. Every site has it's advantages and disadvantages, so I guess it is best to get on as many as possible. " | |

| 25 May 2007 | Samantha CrystalBlueDragon James | Jenny-you have some wonderful works of art. I am no good with humans, as of yet I have only done a handful. Silver Siren is Beautiful. The playfulness of the birthday card looks like you did it with ease. The knotwork of Wandering Soul, I wish I could do that. WOW!!! Beautiful!!! Thank you for coming and leaving a comment in my neck of the woods. *bows respectfully* Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Jenny's Note: Hi Smantha! Thank you for visiting, your kind words make me blush! Humans are probably one of the hardest things to get right, I still have problems with fdrawing kids, there is always room for improvemtnet. " | |

| 9 Jul 2007 | Charles A. Peterson | You know, for as nice as Elfwood is, it is getting so big that you can't see everthing even if you try. I might never have taken this path down the woods if you hadn't left a message or two at mine own door. Some very nice work here. My favorites are: Elf Mage, Golden Fawn Mermaid, Bat and Faerie Cats Kirienalla Uriolas and Nim Wandering Soul I feel these have a beautiful combination of showing off your technique and also have the best sense of presense and use of space. You lead my eye wonderfully through the image from start to finish then let me soak in the details at my leisure, getting something from the work every time I look at it. Many of your pieces remind me of forgotten daydreams I had when I was little, and more than a little of the Brothers Hildebrandt. You mentioned something about joining Portrait Adoption? I confess I know nothing about it. What sort of organization is it? My email is capeterson67 at gmail dot com. Feel free to drop me a note with any information you feel pertinent or just to discuss art in general. Always nice to meet another daydreamer. Jenny's Note: Hi there! I agree with you about how large Elfwood is now, that is why I like to see the random pictures on the front page. Wow, it's a high honor to have my art remind someone of the Brothers Hidebrandt, they are among my favorite artists (the lighting they do is supurb). Thank you so much! *bows* I wish I could word my comments as eloquently as you! I'll e-mail you a link to Portrait Adoption through my normal mail. | |
| 14 Apr 2008 | Jennifer Roberts | I love your work and I was wondering how I would go about getting permission to reproduce it for a small journal I help publish for our church. We publish a quarterly journal called the Showstone for members of our church and those affiliated with it. There is a piece here I would very much like to use for the Beltane issue. Please contact me at my email address if this would be permissable.
Jennifer Jenny M. Heidewald replies: "Hi there, thank you for asking permission, I would e-mail you, but it seems your e-mail address is not here? I am guessing you are interested in "Beltane Dance", you can use it provided you include a notice that it is by me ( "Copyright Jenny Heidewald" , my Elfwood website, and my e-mail: celticwren2@yahoo.com . Thank you. "
